BasicLab Serum with Pure Retinol 2% RENEWAL AND STIMULATION is a specialized night serum based on 2% pure retinol, coenzyme Q10 and squalane contributes to a global anti-aging and corrective effect.

EFFECTS OF RETINOL 2% SERUM :

• The power of pure retinol long-term stimulates collagen synthesis making wrinkles smooth and the oval of the face corrected. The skin gains youthful firmness and elasticity, and its texture is visibly improved.
• Coenzyme Q10, called Ubiqinone in INCI, as one of the most potent antioxidants effectively protects the skin by providing an anti-radical shield. It is perfectly fat-soluble, so it easily penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin. It increases its elasticity and firmness, and smooths out fine lines. A natural form of squalane nourishes and strengthens the elasticity of the epidermis.

USE:

Note: We recommend using the product only after building skin tolerance to lower concentrations of retinol. For the first contact with this active ingredient or to return to its use after a long break, we suggest buying Emulsion Serum with 0.3% Pure Retinol or Serum with Pure Retinol 0.5%

Shake before use. Apply a few drops of the serum in the evening to cleansed and dry skin, avoiding the area around the eyes and mouth. After applying the product, we recommend washing your hands thoroughly. Use the serum on its own the first time to assess the skin’s reaction. The target, approx. 30-40 minutes after the application of retinol, you can apply a moisturizing and regenerating product, such as. Serum with ceramides and/or Ceramide rich cream.

HOW TO BUILD TOLERANCE?

Always start using retinol at a lower concentration (e.g., 0.3% or 0.5%) both when conducting treatment for the first time and when resuming it after a long break.

Use the serum every fourth evening for the first two weeks. If there are no side effects during this period, then you can reduce the interval between applications by 1 day as follows after each completed two weeks of treatment:

1-2 week – application every 4. evening

3-4 week – application every 3. evening

Week 5-6 – use every 2. evening

At this stage, you will get to the point where retinol serums are already used 4 times a week. Only when you already tolerate the product well at this frequency of use (not before!) can you start using a higher concentration of retinol. Then take a 3-day break and repeat the above pattern with a more concentrated serum.
