Description
Monoi oil is a combination of coconut and gardenia. Thaitians at dawn pick the gracedia flowers before their petals have time to fully open, and then dip them in cold-pressed coconut oil.
It contains saturated long-chain acids (myristic – about 19%), saturated short-chain acids (caprylic, capric and palmitic – about 30%), vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, C, E, folic acid, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus and zinc.
It is perfectly absorbed into the skin, leaving a soft, silky, protective film on its surface. Very well tolerated by the skin, with no noted irritation or allergic reactions, recommended for mature skin.
You can use monoi oil as an oil or mask to care for the ends of your hair. You apply monoi oil directly to dry or slightly damp skin. It can be used around the eyes, neck and décolletage.
