Added at 2% by weight of the soap, birch tar is extracted naturally during the process of dry distillation of birch wood, called pyrolysis*. It comes in the form of an oily dark-colored liquid, characterized by a pungent odor.

Among other things, it includes. betulin, guaiacol, xylene, phenol, as well as resinous substances, organic acids, phytoncides. It has antiseptic, antipruritic, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antiparasitic, anti-dandruff and antifungal and keratoplastic (thanks to them it softens the stratum corneum) effects.

A lot of it, no? Because tar is good – it can do real wonders for problematic skin and cure what nothing else has been able to deal with so far.

Olive oil – protects the skin from excessive water loss, thus eliminating excessive dryness; leaves it soft and smooth.

Castor oil – has a disinfectant and anti-inflammatory effect; it soothes various types of irritation and is helpful in the fight against skin diseases.

Birch tar – has antiseptic, antipruritic, anti-inflammatory, antiparasitic and antifungal properties.

Sodium cocoate, sodium shea butterate, sodium sunflowerate, sodium ricinoleate, birch tar oil.

Composition: Saponified: coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, castor oil, birch tar.

The soaps are created by hand using the cold method. No machines or complicated algorithms – the whole process is pure craftsmanship. Each cube is thus slightly different and does not always look like the one in the photo.

If you notice a slight white residue on the top edge of the soap – don’t worry, this is pure glycerin, which precipitates during the saponification process.
