The sSattva Ayurveda Anise & Licorice Sc alp Rub is a unique composition of aloe vera, anise, licorice, Ayurvedic herbs, bell pepper extract and ashwaganda.

The scent of this rub is sure to appeal to fans of licorice candy! Its fragrance peculiarities include soft, refreshing, sweet notes.

Apply 5 ml of the product to the scalp. Gently massage in.

Can be applied before or after shampooing.

NOTE: the rubs are very intensely herbal. If you are prone to allergies to natural ingredients (e.g., to aloe vera, chamomile), you should perform an allergy test.

Due to the high content of plant extracts and the use of as fewest possible preservatives, the rub gently darkens. The formation of sludge is natural.

Herbs may slightly darken hair – applies to light and platinum blondes.

Aqua – water, the base of the product.

Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice – aloe vera juice, has a moisturizing effect.

Pimpinella Anisum Fruit Extract – anise extract, has an anti-dandruff and regulatory effect.

Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract – licorice extract, has a moisturizing effect.

Acacia Concinna (Shikakai) Fruit Extract – shikakai extract, has a refreshing effect on the scalp.

Ocimum Sanctum (Tulsi) Leaf Oil – oil from tulsi, or holy basil, has a calming and regulating effect on the scalp.

Emblica Officinalis (Amla) Fruit Extract – amla fruit extract, acts to stimulate growth and regulate the scalp.

Chamomilla Recutita Matricaria (Chamomile) Flower Extract – chamomile extract, acts as a bactericide.

Nardostachys Jatamansi (Spikenard) Root Extract – an extract from the root of a plant of the spikenard species, imparts a delicate, calming fragrance and has a stimulating effect on hair growth.

Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha) Root Extract – ashwagandha extract,  works against dandruff and stimulates hair growth.

Hydrolyzed Soy Protein- hydrolyzed soy protein, bounces hair at the roots and has a smoothing effect.

Panthenol – a moisturizer, or pro-vitamin B5, stimulates hair growth and smooths hair. It has a soothing effect on the scalp.

Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil – rosemary oil, has a regulating effect on the scalp.

Azadirachta Indica (Neem) Seed Oil – oil from neem, or Indian honeybush, shows anti-dandruff effects, regulates sebum secretion.

Niacinamide – moisturizer, or vitamin B3, regulates sebum secretion.

Capsicum Annuum Fruit Extract – bell pepper extract, stimulates hair growth.

Potassium Sorbate- potassium sorbate, a preservative.

Allantoin- moisturizer, soothes irritation.

Sodium Benzoate – sodium benzoate, a preservative.

Citric Acid – citric acid, a pH regulator.
